Real Estate Market Performance- 2000 through 2010
I wanted to share this performance summary created by the Association of Realtors. Interesting to see the numbers going back to 2000 when I started my real estate career. Looks like we have been transported back to the beginning of the century when it comes to pricing homes in the Reno area. Although the pricing trend isn’t keeping up with the number of solds, it is encouraging to see that the solds are much higher when compared to 2000. There has been much discussion about the tightening of lending requirements these days and how loosening up might spur on the real estate recovery. If you do compare the solds to that in 2000 it seems there are currently plenty of people obtaining financing. And that I’m sure is due to the pricing correction that has occurred over the last three years in the Reno real estate market.
